Call for conference speakers
The European Conference of Healthcare Engineering is the bi-annual event
of the European regional group (IFHE Europe) of the International Federation of
Hospital Engineering (IFHE), which comprises more than thirty associations in
Hospital engineering from all continents.
IFHE Europe was created in September 2005 in Strasbourg and includes
hospital engineering associations from twelve countries: Germany, Austria,
Belgium, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, the
United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The aims of IFHE Europe are:
The promotion, development and distribution of information on hospital
engineering techniques;
The discussion and comparison of experience and practices;
The promotion of multi-disciplinary integrated design;
The promotion of the effective management of technical operations, maintenance
and safety.
in the European context of a vision and convergence to a common health
policy and hospital engineering adapted to the particularities of its members.
Previous European conferences were successively held in Baden Baden in
Germany in 2005, in Vienna in Austria in 2007 and in Goes in the Netherlands in
2009.
Ingénieurs Hospitaliers de France (IHF), founding member of the IFHE and
IFHE Europe, was selected to host and organise this 4th Conference to be held
from 30 May to 1 June 2011 at the Congress hall (Palais des Congrès) of Paris in
parallel with the 51st IHF annual Conference.
The themes for the conference will cover most of the issues faced in
hospital engineering: energy and sustainibility, planning, architectural design,
technology, information and communication techniques, hospital hygiene,
maintenance and operations management, medical equipment, risk management and
quality management.
The conferences will focus on comparison and exchange in view of
promoting the sharing of experience and hence encouraging innovation,
benchmarking and the creation of common European references.
Conference speakers may use any one of the three conference languages
(English, German and French). Simultaneous interpreting will be available in the
two other languages. Each speech should last 20 minutes, with 5 to 10 additional
minutes planned for answering questions from the audience.
A European fair will be held in parallel targeting industrial actors,
suppliers, service providers and consultants in the hospital engineering sector.
A scientific committee comprising the representatives of all European
associations of hospital engineering will select the most relevant speeches in
view of the above objectives.
You are requested to submit an abstract in English in Word format
accompanied by the contact details, titles and position of the conference
speaker before 30 September 2010 to
jroos73432@aol.com with copy to
secretariat@ihf.fr .
You will be informed of our decision in early December 2010 and must
provide the text of your speech (in one of the three Conference languages) by 31
March 2011 and the slides for the conference by 15 May 2011.
Your application implies that you accept the publication of the text of
your speech in Conference documents and possibly on-line on the web sites of the
IHF, IFHE Europe and IFHE.Â
